Our take on Starbear: Taxi
The likely bounce point is the flight-control system: players who struggle with motion-based RC-style piloting may hit a wall while steering through timed passenger runs, before the score-chasing loop has a chance to appeal.
What is Starbear: Taxi?
Fly a space taxi around a small futuristic city, carrying bear passengers to their destinations before time runs out.
Raccoon bandits and other obstacles can interrupt each run. The game uses VR motion controls modeled on remote-control aircraft, with 6DOF and 3DOF input, alongside a custom flight model. Runs focus on transporting as many passengers as possible and collecting honeycombs for a high score. The arcade structure is built around replaying runs and comparing scores on leaderboards. The game is made exclusively for VR and includes cartoony visuals and music that changes with the player’s style.
