What is Helskate?
Helskate combines arcade-style skateboarding with roguelite combat.
Players move through Vertheim by grinding, wall riding, manualing, and performing tricks such as ollies and kickflips. Linking tricks and maintaining combos charges attacks while granting abilities and buffs for battles against monsters and the Gods of Skating. Each run supports different builds through weapons, gear, tapes, and tattoos. Weapons and equipment can be combined and upgraded to create effects such as electrifying sword strikes, burning bursts, poisoned shurikens, or explosive charges planted during dashes. Runs follow a repeat cycle of fighting, dying, and returning with upgraded abilities. One challenge involves climbing a score challenge and attacking weak points on the Ancient God of Skating.
