Our take on WarBreeds
The defining mechanic is genetic appropriation: defeated enemies provide material that expands a clan's abilities and weaponry, linking battlefield victories to new army configurations.
What is WarBreeds?
WarBreeds is a strategy game set after the collapse of the Yedda Empire, where four former slave clans compete for planetary domination.
Players command a clan, defeat enemies, and take their genetic material to expand clan skills and firepower. Warriors can be engineered and customized with biotechnology-based weapons such as lasers, missiles, heat rays, and rapid-fire ion guns. Battles offer four preset attack formations or player-created formations. Each clan has distinct skills, attributes, and weapons. Large battle maps support conflicts between the clans, while resource management accompanies strategic planning and combat. The game includes more than 35,000 possible warrior combinations.
