Our take on Wallkill
The focus on changing maze worlds and resource decisions comes at the cost of a fixed, familiar route. Progress depends on adapting to unknown rooms, varied conditions, and the possibility of being left without enough supplies between worlds.
What is Wallkill?
Wallkill is a roguelike maze game set across uncontrollable robotic worlds.
Each world presents unfamiliar rooms, puzzles, abandoned supplies, and routes that may lead toward an exit or leave the robot stranded between worlds. Exploration includes resource management, with items ranging from energy capsules to weapons and modifiers. Rooms can be crossed quickly to claim rewards, but alternate paths and approaches are also available. Combat and environmental interaction include shooting, destruction, and changes to the laws of physics. The game’s worlds vary in how favorable or hostile they are, and the robot can be replaced during the journey.

Wallkill compared to similar games
Wallkill combines roguelike maze exploration, resource management, puzzle solving, shooting, and physics changes. Abyssus also uses a roguelite structure with shooting, but centers on multiplayer combat, hand-crafted levels, and weapon modification. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is a chaotic metroidvania rather than a maze-focused roguelike, while Jusant centers on climbing, exploration, and a meditative pace.
