Play it if you…

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a straightforward action game without deck construction or board-based movement
- Players who prefer short, tightly focused scenarios rather than a broad journey with varied heroes, combat, and puzzle stages
- Players looking for a conventional fantasy setting without crossovers between mythology, science fiction, history, and modern culture
Our take on Vinecard
The game trades straightforward genre consistency for a deliberately mixed setting and varied systems. Combining deck construction, grid movement, combat, roguelike elements, and separate puzzle stages creates breadth, but players seeking one tightly defined play structure may find the design diffuse.
What is Vinecard?
Vinecard is a strategic deck-building game with roguelike elements.
Players choose among 8 playable heroes, each with different abilities, then move around restricted game-board grids one step at a time. A deck of more than 200 unique cards shapes combat and produces interactions between card effects. The journey spans settings including the Tang Empire, the Far West, and Skyland, combining wuxia, science fiction, fantasy, mythology, modern pop culture, and historical references. Combat supports varied weapons such as guns, swords, and crossbows. Outside battles, 30+ handcrafted legend-site stages present special puzzles at locations including Sanxingdui, Avalon, and Valhalla. The game also includes route planning, item collection, enemy encounters, and skill development.

Vinecard compared to similar games
Vinecard combines deck-building, grid-based hero movement, roguelike elements, combat, and separate puzzle stages. DICEOMANCER also uses card strategy, but its described progression centers on changing interface numbers with a dice power and gradually unlocking six mana types rather than Vinecard’s hero roster, board routes, and 30+ legend-site challenges.
