Our take on Vessel
Rather than treating horror as a solitary escape or combat experience, Vessel makes paired coordination its central structure. Progress can depend on two separate clues, while chases, escape rooms, puzzles, and boss encounters are framed around the siblings acting together.
What is Vessel?
Vessel is an online horror puzzle game for two players.
Both players take the roles of the Lin siblings as they investigate the First General Hospital of Yuanwang City after awakening there following the Black Flame Incident. Progress combines cooperative puzzles, monster pursuits, escape-room sequences, item gathering, and boss encounters requiring both players. Some areas present seemingly endless corridors where each sibling must find different clues before the pair can continue. Conversations with people or creatures in the hospital, along with written and video material, reveal information about its hidden events. The story follows the siblings after their mother’s murder on their sixteenth birthday and their subsequent arrival at the familiar but disturbing hospital.
How Vessel plays
- 01Two-player online play
- The Lin siblings are controlled by two players working together throughout the hospital.

- 03Monster pursuits
- The hospital includes chase sequences in which the siblings must escape hostile creatures.
- 04Dual-player boss fights
- Boss encounters are structured around participation from both players.
- 05Story investigation
- Dialogue, text, and video content provide information about the hospital’s concealed events.
