Our take on Veil of Crows
Many real-time strategy campaigns treat defeat as the end of a run. Here, a hero’s death ends that character’s game, but the world persists and a new character can continue within it, shifting the campaign from a clean restart to a changed political landscape.
What is Veil of Crows?
Veil of Crows is a sandbox real-time strategy game set in a medieval world.
Command armies in battles shaped by unit strengths, weather, geography, and destructible buildings; use siege engines against castles. The campaign map contains more than 75 towns and villages, where quests, random encounters, and faction relations shape play. Villages provide six resource types for trade, castle upgrades, and training units. Players can form alliances, threaten rivals, bribe or extort armies, and develop heroes and generals. The main game begins with a hero whose death ends that character’s run, but the world remains as it was; a new character and faction can continue in it. Four modes are available: Prologue, the main game, Sandbox, and Custom Battle.
