CasualIs VBridger worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- VTubers using Live2D models who want to adjust tracking data for avatar control
- VRM avatar users who need facial tracking sent to VMC-compatible apps
- Model riggers who want custom outputs and controls through the Editor DLC
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Users who need VMC to transmit head rotation, eye rotation, or body movement will hit the output limitation.
- Users without a compatible model or tracking setup may find the preset paths difficult to apply, since settings differ for standard Live2D, ARKit-rigged Live2D, and ARKit-compatible VRM models.
- People seeking a desktop pet, animated cursor, or MMD player will need a different type of software.
Our take on VBridger
The clearest stopping point is VMC output: it carries facial tracking only, not head or eye rotation or body control. Users expecting one stream to drive those movements will hit that limit when connecting an avatar through VMC.
What is VBridger?
VBridger modifies and combines facial-tracking inputs for VTuber avatars.
It includes preset settings and samples for different model types: VTube Studio-compatible settings for standard Live2D models, ARKit settings for models rigged with the vendor’s parameter guide, and VMC output with input curves for ARKit-compatible VRM models. Input sources include iPhone and Android tracking apps, VTube Studio, webcam tracking through MediaPipe or NVIDIA, and microphone audio. Outputs include VTube Studio control through its API and facial data sent through the VMC protocol. VMC output is limited to facial tracking and does not send head or eye rotation or control the body. A separate Editor DLC adds custom outputs and controls.
How VBridger plays
- 01Multiple tracking inputs
- Inputs include mobile tracking apps, webcam sources, VTube Studio, and microphone audio.
- 02VMC data output
- Facial tracking can be sent to compatible apps, but this output does not carry head or eye rotation or body control.
- 03Editor DLC controls
- The DLC lets riggers make custom outputs and controls, including expression triggers and logic-based expressions.
