Mutated boss enemies appear during missions, and some objectives involve rescuing hostages. The selected team leader can activate a special ultimate ability after enough energy accumulates. Leader choice also changes how Valkyries from the same faction play, so missions involve assigning the team, coordinating character abilities, and selecting combinations for each stage.
