Our take on Insect Swarm
Rather than centering on ground-based exploration or a sequence of missions, the game combines top-down aerial shooting with free movement across a borderless map. Switching to Mecha mode adds close-range combat alongside ranged attacks.
What is Insect Swarm?
Insect Swarm is a top-down flying shooter set on a barren planet overrun by alien insects.
Move across a borderless map, fight large groups of enemies, and gather resources to improve an airframe and weapons. The game offers a Mecha mode with a long-reach melee weapon and a heavy Gatling gun. Combat uses keyboard controls for movement and mouse controls for shooting or melee attacks; the loadout can include one main weapon and one secondary weapon. Upgrades have no level cap, so progression can continue when resources are available. The story follows a survivor trapped after mining activity awakens creatures beneath the planet’s surface, leaving a fight to survive and escape.
