What is Underneath?
Underneath is a two-dimensional beat ’em up with roguelike elements.
Each run takes a hero downward through the Citadel, where enemies, traps, artifacts, abilities, and bosses stand between the player and the Wish. Floors, opponents, artifacts, and bosses are randomly generated, so each passage changes. The game includes three biomes, each ending with a distinct boss, along with multiple endings and additional modes. Character development depends on selecting upgrade paths and combining different artifacts, creating varied routes through the Citadel. The vendor also lists plans to add characters, artifacts, abilities, and biomes over time.
