Saves you a refund- Players seeking a broad, open-ended survival world may find the 14-day scenario limited in scope
- Players who prefer exploration or story progression over repeated base defense and enemy extermination may find the structure repetitive
- Players looking for a realistic simulation may not fit the supernatural enemy roster and soul-feeding premise
Our take on Ultimate Summer
Rather than separating tower defense from shooter combat, the game puts both activities in the same survival loop. Resource collection and recycling support traps and weapons, while the island setting replaces the genre’s usual abstract lanes or conventional military threats with supernatural factions and animal feeding.
What is Ultimate Summer?
Ultimate Summer combines tower defense and shooter mechanics in a survival scenario set on a contaminated island.
A retired butcher arrives seeking a quiet vacation but becomes involved with hostile forces drawn from Heaven, Hell, Purgatory, Cthulhu, carnivores, and aliens. The objective is to endure 14 days while collecting resources, recycling items, crafting four resource types, and protecting a base with traps. Weapons can be upgraded for combat, and defeated enemies provide souls used to feed animals. The game includes 30 regular enemy types, 14 bosses, 18 traps with three upgrades each, and nine weapons with three upgrades each.
