Our take on TurretCraft
TurretCraft shifts tower defense from fixed placement grids to open-area maze construction. Its attack economy also makes mercenary purchases part of income growth, so offense and defense develop together rather than remaining separate phases.
What is TurretCraft?
TurretCraft is a competitive tower defense game for two opposing teams.
Each player receives an open area where defenses can be placed without predefined building locations, allowing players to shape their own maze. Teams may contain one to three players, with matches available in 1v1, 2v2, or 3v3 formats. Players construct turrets while purchasing mercenaries to pressure the opposing side. Mercenary purchases also increase the buyer’s income, creating a spending choice between strengthening defenses and launching attacks. The game includes 40 turrets divided into 10 groups, with 20 turrets available for upgrades, plus 39 mercenary types. Matches are structured around competition from the opening minute through the conclusion.
