ActionIs Truth Seekers worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of friends who want to play a cooperative monster-hunting shooter rather than a solo game
- Players who enjoy taking on a support role while teammates explore the field
- Co-op shooter fans who want hunts with folklore monsters rather than human opponents
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a solo campaign may hit a wall at the cooperative multiplayer structure and its team roles.
- Players who want uninterrupted long-range communication may find dead zones interrupt coordination.
- Groups larger than 3 players will exceed the stated co-op player limit.
Our take on Truth Seekers
The likely sticking point is the RV role: teams need someone willing to monitor movement and camera feeds instead of joining the field hunt. Players who expect every teammate to take part in the same on-site action may bounce when that coordination job falls to one person.
What is Truth Seekers?
Truth Seekers is a cooperative multiplayer horror shooter about tracking urban legends and folklore monsters, including Bigfoot and the Stagwalker.
Teams of up to 3 players hunt across 2 maps that vary in size, difficulty, and monsters. Players choose from 3 classes: Hunter, Tracker, and Camera Guy. Hunts involve finding and crafting weapons, medicinal supplies, and other resources, then learning monster behavior while coordinating with teammates. One player can stay at the RV to monitor movements and surveillance cameras and relay information. Walkie-talkies do not work in designated dead zones, so communication may require other methods. The game also includes looting, dangerous encounters with monster AI, and decisions about when to stay together or split up.
How Truth Seekers plays
- 01RV coordination
- A teammate can monitor player movements and surveillance cameras from the RV and relay information to hunters.
- 02Communication dead zones
- Some areas block long-range walkie-talkie contact, so teams must communicate by other means.
- 03Three character classes
- The available roles are Hunter, Tracker, and Camera Guy.
- 04Two hunting maps
- The maps vary in size, difficulty, and the monsters found there.
