Our take on Helion
The team-based design makes individual play less central: success depends on coordinating roles, communication, and adapting with other players. That trade-off suits organized multiplayer sessions but gives less emphasis to solo decision-making or a self-contained campaign.
What is Helion?
Helion is a team-based third-person shooter set in a stylized, low-poly science-fiction universe.
Players cooperate with friends or online teammates in battles across alien locations and space stations. Three roles—Assault, Recon, and Support—provide different abilities and equipment, making role selection part of the team’s approach. Players can assemble weapon and gear loadouts with items such as energy rifles, plasma grenades, and cybernetic enhancements. The game includes varied maps with different tactical opportunities, plus ranked matches for leaderboard competition and casual matches for less competitive play. Its structure centers on communication, coordinated decisions, and adapting to changing battlefield conditions during multiplayer encounters.

Helion compared to similar games
Helion focuses on team-based third-person shooting with role selection, customizable futuristic gear, and ranked or casual matches. Abyssus also offers multiplayer shooting, but its description centers on fast-paced roguelite progression through hand-crafted levels, weapon refitting, and repeated adventure runs rather than Helion’s role-based team battles.
