Our take on Tropia
Rather than expanding the genre with new systems, Tropia deliberately returns to the compact structure associated with early console RPGs: a small party, overworld travel, dungeon exploration, turn-based battles, and a princess-rescue story.
What is Tropia?
Tropia is a retro-inspired, turn-based Japanese RPG modeled after early Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy games.
A group of heroes travels across the world, gathering story-related items while attempting to rescue a princess. Exploration includes seven dungeons with loot to discover. Battles use classic turn-based rules and 8-bit visuals. The party contains four playable characters, each with distinct combat abilities and overworld skills. The game includes original sprites and music, more than five hours of gameplay, and five secret bosses placed throughout the world for players seeking additional challenges.
