- Survival fans who enjoy gathering materials, farming, and managing oxygen
- Builders who prefer grid-based construction within an exploration game
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fast, combat-centered experience may find the emphasis on gathering, farming, building, and discovery slow.
- Those who dislike resource management may hit a wall when oxygen maintenance and deeper underwater travel become central.
- Players looking for a primarily linear story may not enjoy interpreting secrets through exploration and conversations.
Our take on Trenchlore
Players who reach the deeper sections without maintaining oxygen supplies or establishing protected structures may hit the main wall. The combination of resource gathering, farming, and shelter construction becomes necessary for continuing the descent rather than an optional side activity.
What is Trenchlore?
Explore Daqul, a deep ocean trench populated by alien lifeforms, unusual residents, and hostile creatures.
The game follows one researcher moving through underwater biomes toward the trench’s lowest point. Survival involves collecting construction materials and berries, farming, and managing oxygen while diving. Building uses a grid system for structures such as huts, bunkers, and cities; shelter reduces oxygen use and offers protection from some predators. Exploration also includes trading and conversations with Daqul’s inhabitants, alongside uncovering hidden secrets and interpreting what they mean. Deeper areas introduce dangerous monsters, making awareness part of each descent. The experience combines exploration, resource gathering, farming, construction, survival, and discovery within an underwater setting.
