Our take on Treater
The bounce point arrives when survival management becomes constant pressure: food deteriorates, utilities run down, temperature drops, and infection spreads while combat and sector defense still demand attention.
What is Treater?
You play the station’s sole remaining survivor after a catastrophe, keeping thirst, hunger, body temperature, immunity, injuries, and supplies in check.
Roam the colony’s expansive sectors, extract ore, cultivate vegetables in a hydroponic setup, and ride a service trolley. Use a workbench to make weapons and survival equipment, then confront infected beings with close-combat or ranged arms. Infection advances across the colony as its creatures change, so dealing with them early matters. A trained military unit also arrives to eradicate the outbreak, with the survivor among its targets. Establish and guard a sector while tracking water and power reserves, food spoilage, and falling temperatures. The larger aim is to stay alive long enough to escape.
How Treater plays
- 01Survival Needs
- Thirst, hunger, temperature, and immunity affect the survivor during the catastrophe.
- 02Melee And Ranged Combat
- Weapons support close-range and distance-based fights against hostile creatures.
- 03Spreading Infection
- An infection simulation tracks the outbreak across the colony.
- 04Resource Production
- Ore mining and hydroponic farming provide ways to gather rare materials and grow vegetables.
- 05Sector Construction
- A personal sector can be built and defended while the colony remains under threat.
