The focus on approach and departure control means less room for varied activities or quick action. Its detailed procedures trade arcade pacing for work centered on directing aircraft through defined sectors.
What is Tracon!2012:SE?
Tracon!
2012:SE is an air traffic control simulator focused on approach and departure work. Players guide aircraft through sectors, maintain safe separation, sequence landing flights, and hand departing aircraft to the Control Center after guiding them onto their routes. Radar screens include weather radar, and flight strips are provided. The game includes three sectors: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Miami. AI pilots follow tower commands and SID and STAR tracks. The simulation includes dynamic weather, in-flight emergencies, aircraft performance, and calculations of the closest point between moving aircraft. Voice control is available using Microsoft's speech recognition technology. Editors allow players to create TRACONs, schedules, and aircraft. This updated version is based on Tracon! 2012 and changes computer compatibility and radar colors.
