Is Top Racer Collection worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Arcade racing fans who want several entries from one series in a single collection
- Players who prefer quick-reflex racing with nitro and resource management
- Groups seeking local multiplayer across games with two- or four-player support
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a single consistent set of mechanics may find the collection’s entries vary in systems and racing settings.
- Those seeking slower, simulation-focused driving may not want races built around fast reactions and arcade-style handling.
- Players who want a collection centered on one newly released game may find that three of the four entries are earlier series games.
Our take on Top Racer Collection
The collection spans four entries, but that brings different mechanics and settings together rather than maintaining one consistent racing format. Players may need to adjust between resource and damage management, planetary competition, and the other games’ arcade racing.
What is Top Racer Collection?
This collection combines Top Racer, Top Racer 2, Top Racer 3000 and Top Racer Crossroads.
Races use arcade controls centered on quick reactions, with nitro, fuel and time management. The games offer more than 140 tracks across campaigns, time attack, quick races and Custom Cups, where players select four tracks. Top Racer, Top Racer 2 and Top Racer Crossroads support two players; Top Racer 3000 supports up to four at once.
Online races contribute to world rankings. The collection includes four new cars for Crossroads, pixel graphics and filters modeled on old television images.
