Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a relaxed puzzle pace may hit a wall when the moving firewall begins pursuing them.
- Those who dislike repeated execution challenges may lose interest while refining bomb, gate, and node sequences.
- Players looking for an open-ended security simulation may find the structured test-based progression too narrow.
- Fans of multiplayer shooters may not find the solo corporate investigation they are seeking.
Our take on Time Rift
The bounce point arrives when the firewall starts moving from different directions while puzzles still need precise execution. Players who rely on a calm, fixed puzzle board may struggle there, although slowdown and full-stop options provide control over the timing.
What is Time Rift?
Time Rift combines shooting with fast puzzle sequences in a campaign about a hacker investigating VaultCo.
Players navigate an auto-scrolling firewall that can pursue them from different directions, while using bombs, gates, and nodes to build successful runs. Time manipulation allows traps to be avoided and missed collectibles to be recovered. Slowdown mode can make difficult maneuvers more manageable, while a full stop can pause the action. The story follows an investigation into unusual behavior, unpaid workers, and encrypted files that may expose corporate sabotage. Progress takes place through a series of security tests inside VaultCo’s asset storage systems.
How Time Rift plays
- 01Time manipulation
- Slow the action or freeze it completely to handle difficult sequences and avoid hazards.
- 02Moving firewall
- A lethal scrolling barrier can approach from any direction during play.
- 03Puzzle combat tools
- Bombs, gates, and nodes must be combined to complete runs.
- 04Collectible recovery
- Rewinding lets players return for collectibles missed during an attempt.
- 05Corporate sabotage story
- The investigation concerns VaultCo, strange staff behavior, unpaid workers, and encrypted evidence.
