The bounce point arrives when an alarm is raised: guards pursue Mark until death, and the lack of checkpoint saving removes the option to reload from a recent position. Players who rely on frequent retries may stop there.
What is The Slater?
Mark Slater, a former police officer, pursues those linked to his father’s death during an investigation into the designer drug D-Pain.
Across six stages, players collect clues, handle several objectives in any sequence, and choose how to deal with targets. Guards may be distracted, killed, impersonated through stolen clothing, or bypassed via ladders and air ducts. Bodies can be hidden, while cards and codes open restricted sections. Targets can be confronted unarmed or with a suppressed pistol. A scoring system rewards finishing missions without harming anyone beyond the designated targets. Activating an alarm causes guards to pursue Slater continuously, and missions cannot be saved or resumed from checkpoints.
