Our take on The Rumble Fish 2
Rather than relying on a single super meter, the game divides combat management between offensive and defensive gauges. That split makes resource control a central part of its fighting structure, while the added online and training features place a 2005 arcade title in a more current PC format.
What is The Rumble Fish 2?
The Rumble Fish 2 is a 2D fighter created by Dimps and first released in 2005.
Matches use separate gauges for attacking and defending. The PC edition adds online battles with rollback netcode, as well as local multiplayer, arcade, survival, time attack, training, and gallery modes. Training offers individual gauge configuration for each fighter and options to control enemy attacks, evasions, recovery after knockdowns, and automatic recovery timing. Additional functions include spectator viewing, rematches, saved match recordings, adjustable combat distance and round duration, an assist option, extra fighter color schemes, customizable Boost Dive controls, and widescreen display at 16:9. The story takes place in Zone Prime, a reconstructed city with a district called the slums in its western area.
