Our take on The Rise
The precision-platforming focus gives the adventure a defined challenge, but leaves less room for relaxed traversal. Progress centers on overcoming obstacles during a climb through staged levels rather than freely roaming a broad world.
What is The Rise?
The Rise is a 2D precision platform game about Sam and Elicy, two rabbits seeking to escape the Abyss by reaching its top.
The game has more than 60 levels built around exploring unfamiliar places, overcoming obstacles, and surviving encounters with creatures. Large enemies stand in the pair’s way, and discovering secrets is part of the climb. Sam is an older rabbit who wears a cloak and carries a pendant that appears to have some power. Elicy, the younger rabbit, wakes in a place she does not remember after a strange dream and feels called toward the summit. The adventure follows their shared goal through varied environments and challenging platforming.
