What is The Quest?
The Quest is a hand-drawn role-playing game set in the kingdom of Monares.
As an agent of the king, the player investigates a missing governor and a threat to the kingdom. Grid-based movement leads through four cities and wilderness areas containing mountains, caves, lakes, forests, dungeons, traps, and other locations. Character creation includes five races, skills, weapons, armor, enchantments, spells, potions, and dialogue choices. Turn-based combat accompanies a main story and optional side quests. Interactions include reading books, picking locks, repairing items, entering houses, and making choices that may place the character against the law. Inns contain a card game with three decks. The Quest Editor supports creating additional worlds and adventures for other players.
