Our take on The Outforce
The game moves real-time strategy into outer space and adds free camera movement, warp-based transport, and physical forces such as gravity and pressure waves to its battlefields.
What is The Outforce?
The Outforce is a real-time strategy game set in the 25th century, after humanity leaves Earth following a devastating asteroid impact and reaches Epsilon Eridani.
The colonists become involved in an intergalactic conflict against alien empires. Choose from three races and command more than 120 units, including towships, phasing units, and self-destructing units. Battles use a free-moving 3D camera with zoom and rotation, alongside physics for pressure waves, elastic collisions, gravity, and push-pull forces. Warp stations transport units and buildings around the map. Space battlefields contain asteroid fields, planets, large platforms, and defensive barriers. Multiplayer supports up to eight players through LAN or Internet play.
