Our take on The King's Dilemma: Chronicles
This RPG replaces conventional character progression with stewardship of a ruling House across generations. Political votes, resource management, heir selection, and moral alignment shape the campaign, while each representative serves a larger family agenda.
What is The King's Dilemma: Chronicles?
Lead the ruling council of Ankist across tens of generations, taking the role of different representatives from one of twelve Houses.
Hundreds of dilemmas ask the Council to respond to famine, raids, political disputes, and other problems. Houses vote according to their interests, while influence, corruption, finances, and limited power can alter the result. Decisions affect relationships, kingdom resources, available dilemmas, and the fate of each King. Greed and influence points fund research, expeditions, and buildings. Choose heirs with distinct personalities and goals, pursue branching paths across six intertwined storylines, and prepare for a final uprising. Each playthrough lasts 3 to 4 hours and can lead to multiple endings.
