THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV is a fighting game with 3D visuals and the series’ 3-on-3 team battle system.
Players select three fighters from a roster of 58, including 8 DLC characters. Modes include Story, versus, and gallery, plus online Party Battle for up to six players split across two teams. The story begins a new saga after the OROCHI, NESTS, and ASH arcs.
A Rush feature lets players perform combos by repeatedly pressing Light Punch. The combo system also allows a Climax Super Special Move to follow a Super Special Move within the same combo. The Steam Edition includes two free DLC costumes; the Ultimate Pack adds eight DLC characters, ten costumes, a digital artbook, and a 30-track digital soundtrack.
