Our take on The Godbeast
Players focused on quiet exploration may bounce off when the game turns to fast-paced melee encounters. The larger wall comes during Godbeast hunts, where progress depends on weakening a giant creature, climbing it, and striking its weak points.
What is The Godbeast?
The Godbeast is an action-adventure game set in a dark city trapped in eternal night.
Ysengrim returns from exile to seek revenge for his father’s murder and confronts the Council of the Hunt, whose power is linked to divine animals called Godbeasts. Exploration covers city streets, skyscraper shadows, and old forests. Combat combines melee attacks, spear throws, last-second evasive moves, climbing, and motorcycle assaults. Ysengrim can ride into battles, jump onto enemies, and deliver a killing blow. The central hunts involve weakening giant Godbeasts with a spear, climbing their bodies, and attacking weak points to drain their lifeblood. The game also includes duels with the Lords who rule the City.
How The Godbeast plays

- 02Motorcycle Attacks

- 03Mixed Movement
