Our take on The End Grows
Its defining structure is the five-minute loop: each run ends when the world resets, while items and abilities carry forward and combat can produce more than 100 levels at once.
What is The End Grows?
The End Grows is a side-scrolling 2D action RPG in which the world resets every five minutes.
Characters restart each attempt at level 1, yet one defeated foe may provide over 100 levels. Stat allocation happens during battles, so builds can be adjusted mid-fight. Collected gear and abilities remain available across attempts, while equipment can add percentage bonuses to statistics and experience. The explorable world includes ruins, cities, forests, deserts, a war fleet, and an airship. Non-player characters and two rival groups provide quests, battles, credits, experience, and items. The minimap tracks events as they happen and doubles as the timer. Eight chapters tell an approximately twenty-hour story through locations and conversations, gradually revealing connected lore.
