THE DARK DWELLERS is a side-scrolling action game set in an ancient underground city.
Players control The Mortali, an abducted child raised among death and misery. Exploration and combat lead through the subterranean setting, where hordes of enemies and bosses stand between the player and the mysteries of The Maddening Curse. The Mortali can combine Blood Magic with different melee weapons, purchase new abilities, and claim weapons from defeated enemies. The game also includes characters voiced by a large cast of professional voice actors. Its story follows prisoners trapped in a cycle of killing and death as they face the possibility of ending their torment or succumbing to the curse.
