Our take on The Corpsmen
Creature construction and evolving skills give the game a focused progression loop, but that focus leaves less room for play centered on fixed heroes, conventional equipment, or unrelated activities.
What is The Corpsmen?
The Corpsmen is a deck-building roguelite set around the city of Somerley, described as humanity’s last stronghold.
Players assemble teams of creatures from parts taken from defeated monsters, then shape those creations through deck construction and development choices. Creatures can gain new abilities and improve existing ones as they take part in missions. Expeditions involve fighting, hunting, harvesting samples, and exploring the world beyond the city. Collected parts can be used to make further creatures, while each team’s construction affects how its members develop and perform across successive missions. The game combines creature assembly, deck building, combat expeditions, resource collection, and progression through repeated missions.
How The Corpsmen plays

- Deck-building choices shape how assembled creatures are developed and used.
- 03Mission Progression
- Creatures gain abilities and refine existing skills as they participate in successive missions.
- 04Monster Harvesting
- Combat and hunting provide samples for creating additional creatures.
