What is THE BYTE?
Play as a small byte inside a computer system threatened by viruses.
The game combines platforming with puzzles built around joining and separating from other bytes. Merging changes the character’s form, allowing different ways to pass through levels. Bytes can also be placed beneath the character while moving, creating paths across empty spaces. A jetpack adds flight to the running and jumping. Some viruses can become allies, while others remain hazards. Exploration leads through the machine’s mysterious system, with puzzles connected to the question of what caused the infection rather than only how to resolve it.
