Our take on Terror Brain: Night Out
The single-house setting keeps the action focused on escaping one location, but limits the variety of environments. Its emphasis on evasion also leaves combat as a small part of the experience, with shooting reserved for near the end.
What is Terror Brain: Night Out?
This single-player first-person horror game follows university student Sarah Mitchell after she wakes up captive in an unfamiliar house.
Explore the house with a flashlight, replacing its batteries with ones found along the way. Solve puzzles to progress, and watch for the captor: if he spots Sarah, she must run and hide, including in closets or under beds. As the story unfolds, the captor’s past is revealed, and escape requires confronting him. The game includes a small amount of shooting near the end.
How Terror Brain: Night Out plays

- The light source runs out of power, so exploration includes finding replacements around the house.
- 02Hide from the captor
- When spotted, Sarah has to flee and seek cover in places such as closets or beneath beds.
