Our take on Backrooms: Partygoers
The investigation tools create a direct trade-off: scanning makes anomalies easier to locate but can attract the creatures being avoided. This shifts the core task from simple searching toward cautious movement, concealment, and decisions about when detection is worth the risk.
What is Backrooms: Partygoers?
Play as a researcher investigating anomalies in Level 0 of the Backrooms.
Explore a maze of corridors, use devices to detect nearby targets, and manage the danger created when scanning equipment attracts enemies. Partygoers roam the area and can hear the researcher. Survival involves hiding in lockers, finding batteries for a flashlight, collecting water and other supplies from bodies, and locating anomaly crates. The game includes free-roaming exploration, tools for identifying targets, and an escape objective. VHS-style visual effects and creature encounters frame the investigation as a horror experience focused on searching, concealment, resource gathering, and avoiding hostile creatures.
