SimulationIs Sublimity worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Horror players who prefer hiding from threats instead of fighting them
- Fans of first-person exploration in maze-like environments
- Players who enjoy uncovering dark experiments through environmental discovery
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking direct combat will hit a wall when confronting creatures, since the protagonist is not a fighter
- Players who need clear routes may struggle in the connected, confusing spaces of the Backrooms and Poolrooms
- Players looking for crafting, character progression, or team-based play may find the solo escape-and-investigation scope too narrow
Our take on Sublimity
The bounce point arrives when a creature appears and combat is not an option. Players must switch to hiding, escape, or agility-focused movement, while the maze-like environments can make route-finding difficult during pursuit.
What is Sublimity?
Sublimity follows field researcher Liam, who wakes disoriented inside an abandoned building complex while searching for his team.
Exploration reveals experiments conducted by his employer and leads through two unsettling environments. The Backrooms use yellow walls, damp carpets, neon lighting, silence, and labyrinthine spaces to create confusion and isolation. The Poolrooms consist of linked corridors and rooms partially covered by warm, rippling water, with layouts ranging from regular pools to open, oddly shaped areas. Gameplay centers on avoiding creatures rather than fighting them. Players use stealth and parkour-like movement to stay hidden, investigate the surroundings, assemble the truth, and search for an exit.
How Sublimity plays
- 01Creature Evasion

- 02Parkour Movement

- 03Backrooms Setting
- This area combines yellow interiors, damp carpeting, neon lighting, silence, and maze-like spaces.
- 04Poolrooms Environment
- Partially submerged rooms and corridors vary from regular pools to larger, irregular spaces.
