Our take on Tendryll
Deckbuilders often center on card choices and enemy encounters; Tendryll also makes battlefield positioning central. Movement cards, repositioning skills, and terrain that alters cards connect spatial tactics directly to deck management.
What is Tendryll?
Tendryll combines grid-based, turn-based battles with roguelike deckbuilding.
Choose heroes whose abilities work together, then manage separate move decks that provide each hero with a move card every turn. Attacks and skills can reposition heroes and enemies, including knocking foes into walls or throwing units across the battlefield. Terrain can alter cards, while runes modify cards with effects such as doubling block or replaying a card. During a run, map nodes let players swap in new move cards.
Heroes find card-altering runes, movement cards, and class-defining relics while choosing between riskier upgrades and safer health recovery. Shops and black markets offer anomalies that can reward free items at the risk of paying with a life. The campaign has 3 acts, 5+ bosses, and 35+ unique encounters.

Tendryll compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines turn-based combat, deckbuilding, and roguelike progression, while Tendryll places heroes and their movement cards on a grid. Men of War: Assault Squad focuses on large-scale World War II command with direct control of individual units, rather than hero decks and card-altering runes.
