Our take on Tempest of the Heavens and Earth
The focus on stylish combat gives up some breadth in progression and exploration. Customization centers on combat moves, shots, and Spell Cards, while the structure emphasizes the main scenario, boss encounters, and challenge modes.
What is Tempest of the Heavens and Earth?
Control Tenshi Hinanawi across Gensokyo while investigating suspicious earthquakes, Iku Nagae’s disappearance, and a wider conspiracy.
Combat includes shooting, striking, slashing, evasive maneuvers, counters, weather control, auto-healing, and attacks that expose bosses by destroying their amulets. Spell Cards provide reversal attacks during difficult encounters. Skills can be unlocked, additional moves added, and shots and Spell Cards customized. After clearing the main scenario, boss-attack and other challenge modes become available. The game is a derivative work inspired by the Touhou Project universe, with pixel-art character animation and graphical effects.
