Our take on Tempest Citadel
The defining structure is the split between airborne city management and surface expeditions: squads are configured around terrain, weather, and enemies, then their battles resolve automatically.
What is Tempest Citadel?
Build a city in the clouds above a storm-ruled planet and manage 100 crew members across roles such as Soldiers, Scavengers, Workers, Researchers, and Medical Experts.
Assign training, equipment, perks, augmentations, and psionic abilities. Scan the surface, choose expedition sites, and select squads according to terrain, weather, and opposing forces before automated battles begin. Missions provide research data, scrap, and technology for advancing through more than 200 research nodes and constructing over 170 modules, items, and weapons. Five enemy factions have their own troops, technology specialties, strengths, weaknesses, and storylines. Tactical and social dilemmas interrupt city management, while fallen soldiers can be restored through technology at a possible cost to their humanity.
