Our take on Tears Revolude
The game departs from action-focused RPG conventions by using command-based battles with a four-level SP gauge. Its 3D dungeon map adds a spatial exploration layer to a structure built around selecting commands, developing skills, and improving weapons.
What is Tears Revolude?
Tears Revolude is a command-driven role-playing game about Sion and Michelle, who set out to find the last artworks created by Orwiel.
Their journey changes after they encounter Liara, a girl without memories whose secret influences both their route and destiny. Players move through a three-dimensional world map, explore dungeons, and face illustrated foes in animated turn-based encounters. Weapons can be upgraded at the town smithy, and using abilities repeatedly alters their effects while raising their strength. The party’s fighters may acquire a maximum of five abilities apiece. Combat fills a four-stage SP meter; consuming the entire gauge allows allies to participate in a combined special move.

Tears Revolude compared to similar games
Tears Revolude focuses on command-based RPG battles, 3D dungeon exploration, weapon improvement, and skill development. Hero of the Kingdom is also an adventuring RPG, but its description emphasizes a serene journey with no time pressure rather than command battles, skill progression, or SP-powered group attacks.
