Our take on Tastrion
The presentation focuses on a galaxy-wide threat and a heavily armed gunship, but the available structure is a compact single-player shooter: six main stages, secret routes, 16 bosses, and one separately hidden high-difficulty stage.
What is Tastrion?
Tastrion is a single-player shoot 'em up inspired by classic games such as Gradius, Arrow Flash, and Gleylancer.
The Desolazor gunship fights through six stages containing enemy waves and bosses, plus two secret alternate stages and one secret stage with a very high difficulty. Its weapons include forward-firing photon lasers, multidirectional ion shots, an armor-piercing rail gun, Focus mode, and a solar-powered bomb. Pickups upgrade the weaponry up to eight times. The game also includes 16 bosses, rare hidden power-up containers, and a concealed superweapon. It uses a modern aspect ratio and features dark-synth and industrial-themed music. Xbox, PlayStation, and third-party controllers are supported, with the game mainly focused on Xbox users.
