Our take on Otherworldly Air Gunship
The focus on defending one central vehicle gives the combat a clear objective, but it also limits freedom of movement: protecting the base remains more important than pursuing enemies across the field.
What is Otherworldly Air Gunship?
Otherworldly Air Gunship combines shooting with tower defense.
Players control an aerial gunboat equipped with rapid-fire guns, secondary weapons, and main guns, choosing upgrades as new options become available. Special weapons draw from a shared energy supply. After defeating enough enemies or a boss, upgrade cards can improve the gunboat or deploy troops such as armored vehicles, tanks, helicopters, and rocket launchers. A base vehicle in the center of the field must be protected; its destruction ends the game. Enemy strength increases over time, with thousands of monsters appearing at once. The game also includes an online mode, a zombie mode involving giant towers and controllable vehicles, and a mode set in 1937 featuring modified H-6 gunboats.
