Follow Velvet and her companions across Midgand's archipelago as she pursues vengeance after traumatic betrayal.
The story explores conflict between emotion and reason as Velvet confronts a society organized around order. Combat lets players freely choose Artes and combine them into varied attacks, while collected enemy Souls can be used to unleash further attacks. Exploration includes destination markers and an option to disable enemy encounters. The remaster makes the Grade Shop available from the beginning and includes selected downloadable content from the 2016 release, including character outfits from earlier Tales games and equipment for travel. The Deluxe Edition adds the game, a battle music pack, a digital artbook and soundtrack, and a Super Growth Support Herb Set.
