Our take on TAIKU MANSION
The mansion escape structure trades broad exploration and combat variety for concentrated puzzle solving under a dawn deadline. That focus suits a contained mystery, but leaves less room for players seeking progression systems, varied action, or a longer-form adventure.
What is TAIKU MANSION?
A trapped visitor must escape Taiku Mansion before dawn after following a voicemail from a friend who died five years earlier.
The mansion’s front door locks behind the visitor while an unknown voice issues threats and puzzles. Progress depends on examining the building, interpreting clues, and solving distinct challenges with a simplified interface inspired by classic text adventures. Sound effects, images, and environmental details create an unsettling atmosphere throughout the escape attempt. The game also includes a narrative written by Ryan Shah, known as Kitatus, whose writing contributes to the mansion’s mystery and horror framing. Failure to escape before dawn has fatal consequences within the story.
