Our take on SYMMETRY
Players who want immediate action may bounce off the opening management loop, where survival depends on balancing nutrition, physical condition, and mental health before the spacecraft can be repaired. Those seeking a predictable run may hit another wall when crew skills and stories change between playthroughs.
What is SYMMETRY?
SYMMETRY is a survival management game about a research spaceship that crashes on an abandoned planet.
Players manage the survivors’ nutrition, physical condition, and mental health while gathering parts to repair the spacecraft. Crew members have randomly assigned skills and stories, and extreme conditions can lead them to develop abilities such as botany or power plant operation. Weather and supernatural activity intensify as the crew races to leave. The game includes moral decisions concerning collectivism and individualism, an atmospheric sci-fi plot, vector-based graphics, and ambient sound. After the main mission is completed, a survival mode becomes available, with different strategies and crew combinations supporting repeated play.
