Our take on Sword of the Necromancer
The bounce point arrives after a failed run: equipped weapons and summoned monsters disappear, leaving only half of the level reached. Players who need permanent loadouts or a steady sense of accumulation may stop there, even though the retained level still carries some progress forward.
What is Sword of the Necromancer?
Sword of the Necromancer is a dungeon-crawling action RPG with rogue-like elements.
Tama ventures into a perilous crypt, seeking a way to restore Koko to life. Enemies that Tama defeats can be revived to fight as allies, letting players assemble a group of summoned monsters. Battles use weapons and objects in close-range combat. Procedural generation gives weapons varied attributes and effects. Fighting raises Tama’s level and strengthens summoned monsters. After each attempt, equipped weapons and monsters are lost, while half of the level gained during that run carries over. Advancing through the dungeon uncovers the history shared by Tama and Koko. Local co-op lets a second player join through a duplicate of the playable character.
