Our take on Sword and Fairy 5 prequel
Character relationships affect combat through joint attacks, while optional activities and unusual victories feed into a title system. That system turns collected titles into attribute and ability bonuses, with some special titles also usable for equipment and items.
What is Sword and Fairy 5 prequel?
Set 25 years before Sword and Fairy 5, this Chinese-language RPG follows Xiahou Jinxuan after he meets the performer Xia, wanderer Xie Cangxing, and disciple Jiang Cheng.
Their journey crosses western deserts and the eastern sea as their relationships and beliefs change. The setting includes six realms shaped by the ancient figures Fuxi, Shennong, and Nüwa, while disturbances between the realms affect water supplies and protective seals. Combat includes joint attacks between related characters when their attack order is adjacent and enough energy is available. Timed input sequences can extend a special attack through multiple rounds. A title system rewards item collection, side-story completion, minigames, special boss challenges, and unusual battle victories. The Dreamlike Illusions DLC is included.
