ActionIs Super Space Meltdown worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Roguelike shooter fans who want short, repeatable room-clearing runs
- Solo players who enjoy learning enemy encounters through trial and error
- Science-fiction players who want exploration tied to a gradually revealed mystery
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a long, uninterrupted campaign may find the repeated resets restrictive
- Those who prefer relaxed pacing may dislike the 60-second room limit and frequent deaths
- Players looking for a game centered on crafting or base building may find its focus too narrow
Our take on Super Space Meltdown
The timed-room and rewind structure trades uninterrupted progress for repeated attempts. Keeping salvaged items gives each reset continuity, but the 60-second limit pushes play toward quick decisions rather than leisurely exploration.
What is Super Space Meltdown?
Super Space Meltdown is a top-down roguelike shooter set in a space station under alien attack.
Sgt. Alex Cutter travels through random rooms filled with hostile aliens, with 60 seconds to reach the next floor before the reactor causes time to loop. Death also rewinds time, while collected items and ammunition remain for another attempt. The game includes a space rifle, mines, grenades, and deployable turrets. An AI companion can manipulate the reactor and trigger another attempt after defeat. As rooms are cleared, terminal stations reveal messages from previous inhabitants. These fragments gradually expose the invasion, the reactor meltdowns, and the station’s other mysteries.
How Super Space Meltdown plays
- 01Timed Room Runs

- 03Expanded Weapon Set
- Mines, grenades, and stationary turrets supplement the character’s space rifle.
- 04Terminal Story Fragments
- Activated terminals provide messages from earlier station inhabitants about the invasion and meltdowns.
