The focus on escape and evasion gives up conventional enemy combat: creatures cannot be killed. That keeps encounters centered on movement, hazards, and ability use, but limits the range of combat strategies available during maze runs.
What is Super Dark Deception?
Super Dark Deception reimagines a horror maze game in 2D pixel art with a retro 16-bit RPG presentation.
This first chapter includes four levels. Players run through hazardous mazes while avoiding creatures with distinct artificial intelligence and dealing with traps and other dangers. Enemies can be stunned or evaded but cannot be killed, making survival and movement central to each encounter. Progression includes earning experience points and unlocking powers that alter the odds during later runs. Each nightmare features a different creature, requiring changes in tactics. The purchase also includes future Chapters 2 and 3 DLC at no additional charge when released.
