Our take on Super Alloy Ranger
The game centers on two playable characters and side-scrolling combat, leaving less room for broader play styles or open-ended exploration. Its level structure, movement challenges, and machine bosses define the experience.
What is Super Alloy Ranger?
Super Alloy Ranger is a 2D side-scrolling action game with levels set across locations on the planet Tanwada.
Players can choose between Marksman Kelly and Combat Robot No. 2, whose weapons and attacks differ. Kelly fires ammunition tied to equipped Attribute Chips, can charge shots, and gradually builds energy for special weapons. No. 2 has melee attacks and gains energy by hitting enemies, then releases a chip-based deathblow. Movement includes running, jumping, dashing, mid-air dashes, wall climbing, and double jumps. Levels contain hidden paths and end with machine boss encounters. The game follows the characters as they pursue a wanted criminal and investigate an infected mechanical army.
